MXPART® GUIDE

WHEEL
ASSEMBLY & MAINTENANCE
GUIDE

MXPART wheels are designed to offer maximum performance, reliability, and safety. Correct assembly and regular maintenance optimize their lifespan and ensure optimal operation, both on the road and on the track or off-road.

In this guide, you will find all MXPART recommendations regarding assembly, initial spoke inspection, bearing maintenance, and best practices to follow before each use.

WHY ARE ASSEMBLY AND MAINTENANCE IMPORTANT?

A correctly assembled and maintained wheel ensures better safety, a longer component lifespan, and optimal performance. Regular checks can prevent most problems encountered during intensive use.

🔧 Compliant assembly

Assembly carried out according to manufacturer's recommendations guarantees perfect alignment of components and optimal wheel operation.

🛡️ Maximum safety

Checking the tightening of spokes, discs, and the sprocket significantly reduces the risk of loosening and ensures safe use.

⚙️ Increased longevity

Regular maintenance of bearings, seals, and spacers limits premature wear and extends the lifespan of the entire wheel.

🏁 Constant performance

A correctly maintained wheel retains its rigidity, steering precision, and performance, whether on the road or in Supermoto, Motocross, or Enduro.

🔧 MXPART WHEEL ASSEMBLY

Wheel replacement and assembly must be carried out by a specialized motorcycle workshop or a qualified two-wheeler mechanic.

01

Prepare the wheel axle

Remove the wheel from the vehicle, thoroughly clean the wheel axle, then apply a thin layer of grease before reassembly.

02

Grease the hub seals

Before mounting the hub spacers, it is recommended to apply a light layer of grease to the seals to improve their protection and lifespan.

03

Prepare the fasteners

Before installing the various components on the MXPART hub, degrease and clean all bolts to achieve optimal tightening.

04

Use a threadlocker

Apply an appropriate threadlocker to the brake disc mounting screws when recommended by your motorcycle manufacturer.

05

Respect manufacturer torque specifications

Exclusively use the original screws from your motorcycle manufacturer and respect their recommended torque specifications.

🏁 FIRST RIDE & SPOKE INSPECTION

During the first few kilometers, the spokes and their nipples naturally settle into place. It is essential to perform an inspection after the first rides to ensure homogeneous tension and maximum reliability.

01

First inspection

After 15 to 20 minutes of riding, allow the wheel to cool completely before any intervention.

02

Check all spokes

Check that each spoke and each spoke nipple is correctly tightened and that there is no play.

03

Tighten only if necessary

Only retighten spokes that show slight loosening to maintain homogeneous tension across the entire wheel.

04

Recommended torque

The recommended tightening torque is 4.5 Nm. The use of a torque wrench adapted to spoke nipples is highly recommended.

05

Repeat the operation

Perform this check after the first 2 to 3 rides to ensure perfect spoke seating.

⚠️ Important

Regularly check the tightening of the spokes throughout the life of your wheels. Never overtighten the spoke nipples: they must retain a slight elasticity to ensure proper operation and longevity of the wheel.

⚙️ BEARING & SEAL REPLACEMENT

Bearings and seals are wear parts. Regular inspection helps preserve the performance of your MXPART wheels and prevent premature wear of various components.

🔍

Check for wear

If you notice abnormal play, unusual noise, or difficult rotation of the bearings, their replacement is necessary to ensure optimal operation.

🧼

Clean & Grease

When replacing bearings, carefully clean the housings and various parts, then apply appropriate grease before reassembly.

🛡️ SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Adherence to the following recommendations ensures optimal operation of your MXPART wheels and maximum safety during use.

🔧 Regular Checks

Regularly check the tightening of brake disc screws, the sprocket, spokes, and the general condition of the various wheel components.

🏁 After a fall

After a fall, collision, or significant impact, have your wheels thoroughly checked before any further use.
